I'm here now...

Babetude's here NOW...

Wow, it feels so great!!!

Gosh, finally I am here.

How long I've toying with the idea of having a blog and it finally got done. What a relief!!

I've been a writer since childhood (I loved to write essays with my silly childish imagination and later made it into a career as a journo).

I feel conscious about telling people about my first article in a small town newspaper one day way back in the late nineties when I was quite the little girl. Now I can't write about all that too much as it was way too amateurish and childish and so on!

People change a lot indeed! My writing has gotten better with time and it's really nice to know that I’ve improved at least in some ways.

But in between my posts when I get a chance I shall tell you about my start but of course without boring you guys in the process. You would like to know more about others(famous people and noteworthy stuff) than about me, right?Lol...

Well, I’m no celeb. So you know by now that I ain't no big time journo either. But I just love to write and to analyse too!

I loved to study history and one of our professors said history isn't about storytelling, but about analyzing. I still remember that and took it quite seriously too. And then there was logic and philosophy to study too. So I taught myself to analyse and also be logical in the process...

So you guys know what to expect. No illogical stuff will be posted here.
You all can rest assured and not worry about anything trivial or frivolous going up on The Babetude Blog.

Btw, a flight attendant asked me in one of my long boring international flights if I had a blog. Well, it was expected since I told him I'm a journo! That was more than six months back. So at last I really signed up for a blog in May which is a special month for me (it's my birth month)!

Well, I know my first post should have been then but then better late than never, right? Also today is Natalie Portman's birthday. She was a child star in the early and mid 90s and I kinda grew up with her...

I think she's a classy beauty, one with a brain and lots of talent and essence. Starting from ‘Leon’ which is my favorite, most of her movies including 2009’s ‘Brothers’ have been substantial. She is pure class and a beauty with substance and grace. She dresses up well too, looking effortlessly sexy. And yes, she’s very, very youthful looking which is so important for an actor/model/ star to sustain in any youth/ beauty obsessed entertainment industry. She wants to turn mommy too when the time is right and it seems it won't be very late from now.

Given the right opportunities and background, I could have ended up like her. A young achiever who manages her life and career well! What more can one ask for? But not everyone can be like that, right?

Also closer to my home turf, Sonam Kapoor turns a year older today. She’s a star daughter and Daddy Kapoor made sure she has the best of the best in life. After ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, Anil Kapoor is trying to go a bit international too.

She's not a big favorite, she might be privileged like many others( which included a planned debut and other custom made movies in spite of she being not too great an actress) and had it easy unlike so many others. But I really like her magazine covers and her long Rapunzel like long tresses. Really nice and chic!

Some people have all the luck! But the rest have to come up in life the hard way. That's the reality of it.

Now let me tell you why I decided to call my blog 'the babetude blog'.

The urban dictionary defines babetudinousness as the quality of being a babe, i.e., a good-looking woman.

I feel 'babetude' is about a babe with lots of attitude.

I grew up as a small town girl but display plenty of it. I can look quite the babe( I too was stunned by the comments I got for my part time modelling snaps and even normal snaps) even though I never consider myself conventionally beautiful, far less the hot or sexy type. I'm more youthful looking and the cuter type. I know myself very well but some day when the time is right I will share my pics with you too for you to tell me what you think. That will be fun:-) But it will take a while.

But I realized plenty attitude is important. Not arrogance, mind you. It’s attitude that I’m talking about.

I had to develop it as when I stood in front of the camera whenever there was a need, photographers kept on dissing me and telling me how I need to display some attitude, and not look so sweet, camera shy and so on...

In real life, many smart alecs tried to run me down, just because I was the modest, sweet, good girl type. Some in a big way and some just for the heck of it (now some people just love to be sadistic). There are not too many kind people around here but such is the world.

Then I decided to unleash my attitude and fight them out with my logical arguments and ways and always try to be the winner, one who has the last laugh and says the last word.

So people, from my little experience, I can tell you that attitude in life is important...Arrogance, over confidence, vanity and false pride is unnecessary, but attitude is needed for sure!

Once somebody who's quite an achiever texted me a quote which said “In life there's no market for sorrow. So never show your sorrow. Just display your attitude."

And it's something very, very noteworthy and significant.

People should like you but not run you down, walk all over you, not give you your due and so on.

So here there will be posts displaying plenty of 'babetude'!

I am an entertainment person, so will try to entertain you with my style of writing...

I love classic movies and so will talk a lot about the same...

We’ll talk about music too( Shakespeare had said “If music be the food of love, play on”) and fashion( being chic and classy is so very important to stand out in the crowd), fitness( a healthy body and mind is a big gift), spirituality( I have discovered that side of me and that part is very important for a constructive, progressive mind) and even a little politics( a little coz am not political)!

So just wait and watch for my posts…

See u back here soon again.

If all goes well, I am sure to rock blogosphere!! So do keep looking out for me on and off!

Asta La Vista.

Love,
Babetude
